WREN SEW ALONG

Everything you need to know about the Wren and Mini Wren patterns is in this post: size charts, pattern illustrations, and more.

If you’re looking for a little inspiration to get started on your Wren we have fabric recommendations and RTW looks to check out.

Fitting and custom adjustments are an important part of apparel sewing, we go over the most common adjustments we have seen for the Wren.

Before we start sewing we need to gather our supplies and cut out our pattern pieces.

Let’s get sewing! First, we’re going to add some stay stitching for stability, sew the bodice darts, and sew the shoulder seams.

Now it’s time to sew and attach the facing. This bit may seem tricky but isn’t as difficult as it seems when it’s followed one step at a time for a neat, professional looking finish.

Here we’ll be gathering, attaching, and sewing the short puff sleeves. If you are sewing the Long cuffed sleeves, you may skip this step.

Here we’ll walk you through preparing, sewing, and assembling the long sleeve and cuff pieces. Skip this step if you’re sewing the short puff sleeves.

Your Wren is almost finished! This post will detail hemming the blouse as well as sewing buttonholes and attaching buttons for both blouse and dress views.

Let’s finish up the final steps of your Wren Dress. You’ll sew the skirt, gather it, and attach it. Give things a final press and you’re done!
